Title: It's November...anyone heard about SPAR elections?
Post by: sheclown on November 06, 2009, 09:02:21 AM
Elections are to be held in October.

Does anyone have any info on this?  It wasn't brought up at the meeting last night.

Will Claude be president for life, much like Louise is Executive Director for life?

Any news about this?

I heard that SPAR consulted with Robert Mugabe and decided that no "elections" were actually necessary.

Louise has produced great results while shes been Director.

It'd be nice if there was anyone else that would be able to devote the time & effort, coupled with the expertise.

Is there?

If that's so true, then what would be the harm in holding elections?

How does the membership year run?  Is there one annual renewal time or does each member have their own anniversary date?  Mine is sometime around April.

Anyhoo, I thought the Executive Director is hired by the Board and not subject to election.  Am I wrong?

You are correct hooplady. The ED position is hers for as long as she wants it.

Only so long as she keeps the B.O.D. stacked with her friends who keep her in place.

Hence, why there are no elections.
