Did you know Jacksonville Mayor John Peyton makes $173,940.96 a year?
And that University of North Florida president John Delaney is paid $325,000?
How about that U.S. Reps. Corrine Brown, Ander Crenshaw, Cliff Stearns and John Mica each earn $174,000?
Using this database, you can check their salaries, as well as those of all public employees in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties. Employees of some state agencies, such as the State Courts System, and a select group of elected federal officials also are also included.
Salary information for these employees is public record and was provided by the government agencies. The database is for full-time, permanent employees only. Changes in salary or job title made after Sept. 15 may not be reflected in the database.
Contact database@jacksonville.com if you have any questions about this database. Results are automatically sorted in alphabetical order for agencies. Users have the option to sort by last name and salary by clicking on the buttons at the top of the columns.
Wow!
That is a bit disconcerting. Even public figures deserve a level of privacy.
I hope you are being sarcastic.
Who do you think pays their salaries?
Unlike the salaries of us mere mortals, the salaries of politicians may sometimes be a small portion of their actual intake.

Not at all. I can certainly agree that elected officials salary information should be public knowledge, but that of each government employee? I don't see it a necessary.
Ultimately all of our income is generated from the general public.
