We will have someone from the city at SHADCO to tell us details about the coming Weed & Seed program. This program brings more than $1,000,000 (federal money) over 5 years into 32206 for anti-drug law enforcement and economic stimulus. The Eastside Neighborhood Association and COJ led the effort to get this. 6PM Tuesday Oct. 27 at SPAR.
I have lots of questions and I imagine many of my neighbors will also.

Maybe, but this $ is for an area bigger than Springfield. One of my questions is, how will the resources be applied across 32206, e.g. focus primarily on the Eastside?
but springfield is downtown, so its crucial they be involved ;)

I thought that the SHADCO meetings were suspended till after the holidays, otherwise I would have been there. I read the summary of the program at your link, can you convey anything else of note that was presented at the meeting?

FSU Daniel Cronwrath of the city is running this, I was secretary to the steering committee but I no longer wish to be a part. You could contact him or I will let you know when the meetings are
SHADCO is on Christmas break now, but the last meeting was on 10-26, a few days after the thread above. Please do come to our next meeting, January 25, 6PM at SPAR. I don't know whether we will have any Weed & Seed news then, but I hope to generally keep SHADCO engaged with Weed & Seed. In the meantime, Mr. Cronwrath is indeed a good contact.
