Good job Catlett. Maybe we can get back to selling out the Gator Bowl game.
It will be low in the pecking order for those two conferences? The SEC and Big 10 are the most popular leagues and should bring big crowds and dollars.
I see this as a great move by Jax. I've never even given a second thought to attending games in that past, when it was an ACC-Big East matchup. SEC-Big 10 would be an awesome game even if it was the #6 teams.
Nice work. Outside of Vandy, SEC teams have huge alumni bases and travel well. That is the biggest problem will the ACC outside of a handful of schools.
ACC has loyal fans, just smaller schools.
After 13 years, and numerous like matchups, its nice to change.
I'll go ahead and make my prediction for the outcome of the next 6 games.....SEC team wins.
I would have loved to see an SEC vs ACC matchup.

Look at the outcomes of recent Outback and Capital One bowls. You might be surprised.

Vanderbilt DOES have a very large alumni base. It just has never been the biggest sports school, it is a more professional university than anything.

and therein lies the problem w/ SEC football fans....they can't imagine that anyone else in teh country plays good football.
Copperfiend, Penn State is good. Ohio State is pretty good, but let's be honest, they're a joke. Otherwise, the conference is extremely below the SEC ( UF, LSU, UGA, Auburn, Bama, USC, even Ole Miss).
This is the only game I will say this about ever, The UF vs Michigan game in '07 was not completely accurate. To say that UF tried to the very end is false. I think Michigan was allowed to end that atrocious season with a little dignity.
so the Gators just gave up...on purpose?
