QuoteOctober 1, 2009--In 1994 a research team led by Tim White of the University of California, Berkeley; Berhane Asfaw, former director of the National Museum of Ethiopia; and Giday WoldeGabriel of the Los Alamos National Laboratory announced the discovery of the first fossils of a new human ancestor, Ardipithecus ramidus. The researchers presented tantalizing evidence that the species was a biped living in woodland conditions more than a million years before the famous "Lucy" fossil of the species Australopithecus afarensis.
The research, to be published in an October 2, 2009, special issue of the journal Science, reveals that our earliest ancestors underwent a previously unknown phase of evolution, shedding new light on the nature of the last common ancestor of chimpanzees and humans.
An artist's reconstruction of the face of Ardipithecus ramidus was made possible by a digital reconstruction of skull parts from two individuals. The face of "Ardi" did not project as much as those of modern apes, but was not as flat and massive as the later australopithecines. Researchers who studied the species suggest this difference is related to the small size of the species' incisor teeth compared to those of chimps. Based on the relatively small size of its brow ridge and canine teeth, scientists suggest this fossil is of a female.
Gigantopithecus blacki? Oh well, Ne supra crepidam sutor iudicaret
OCKLAWAHA
Ne supra crepidam sutor iudicaret. Let the cobbler not judge above his sandal.
Thanks ock. That is poetry. (I'll try to heed it's advice)
In all due respect, (and I do respect (but don't agree with) their opinions and findings), this is garbage.

Well, we probably should lay out our differences through private email within this forum, so, what FACTS over rule me? Let's lay this all out in the open through privacy.

stephendare is almost right and if you Truly feel the way you do (Heights) post your thoughts out in the public forum?

Heights, be fair. Those conversations are always tedious and usually end in God shouting. No one in their right mind ever accepts an invitation to be yelled at unreasonably on the basis of a shaky (possibly crazy) argument unless it involves an altar and a blushing bride.
The answer that he doesnt want to argue about is a simple three letter code.
DNA.
Who said I was going to be "God shouting?" Who knows (truly and certainly) if I was going to be "God shouting" as you say Stephen. You said that; and...you don't really know Stephen (in all due respect), what I was going to say. If there's concrete proof relative to the topic of this thread, I have concrete proof as well, just as concrete as us breathing, that it's unfounded...and, I will respect the concrete "foundness" of his opinion but may not agree with it just as well as I expect him to respect my view though he may disagree.
So I think I am being respectful, and fair as you say Stephen, by offering to go "behind the scenes" as not to offend anyone else, if someone wants to talk and discuss this issue one on one with each of us respecting each others views.
That's the beauty of these forums...we all can agree to disagree and even butt heads, but, in the end we must respect each other's views. ;)
Thanks...

I apologize, and will cease and desist relative to this issue/subject; but not without offering the reading of the below site link. You don't have to reply to me and please do not. Don't worry, I will never, ever again approach the angle in which I did for debate or discussion of subjects and/or topics of this nature within this forum, because, you are right about one thing Stephen...they do end up in a form and type of debate in which both parties get absolutely no where, not necessarily in "God shouting" as you say because that depends on whether one or both persons are fanatics or know how to approach discussions with "cool heads." Please forgive me. If you reply, I will not reply to you.

Nice comments, Stephen. Too often I see self proclaimed intellectuals rudely insisting they know the unknowable and dismissing any faith in a creator as idiotic superstition.
I am no devout anything and yet the idea that this universe was created from, by or of a "singularity" sure is compelling.
I Am?
