At least we've got chronic disease deaths in line.  The 2010 target of adults who engage in heavy or binge drinking is TNA??? I'm pretty sure that's the goal every year.

Shouldn't the target for things like homicide be...uhhh...like...ZERO?

Interesting to note that homicide and suicide rates are quite similar.

Generally speaking, it appears Jax citizens are less healthy than national and state figures.  This could explain some of our community attitudes.  How can we expect people to have concern for the community, when they may not have concern for themselves?

By the way, shouldn't these figures be age adjusted.  Supposedly, Duval is younger on average than at least most areas of Florida.  If so, these statistics are even worse than they appear at first glance if the state and national averages reflect older populations than Jax.

Yeah, if these dummy's would just use the always broken escalators on the Skyway downtown; as stairways, think how much healthier our guys would be!
