We are calling on our readers to help us document the effects of a recession on commercial districts here in Jacksonville.
Please send us photos of strip malls and shopping centers where the shops are closing! Be sure to include the address and/or road and part of town.
It will help us see what patterns emerge when there are mass closings like those of this year and the one coming.
This has never been done in Jacksonville before and will be the first collection of this information so that future generations will have a record and know what to expect/avoid and be able to plan around.
We would like to know if certain strips suffer worse than others, or if the closings are more even spread. Your photos will help us tremendously
