Those scheduled for construction in Northeast Florida include:
DUVAL COUNTY
- Widen Beach Boulevard from four to six lanes from Hodges Boulevard to San Pablo Road for $15.3 million. Begins ithis month
- Resurface and add paved shoulders on Alta Drive from New Berlin Road to Florida 9A and on New Berlin Road from Zoo Parkway to Alta Drive for $7.5 million. Scheduled to begin later this year.
ST. JOHNS COUNTY
- Ramp improvements at the intersection of Florida 207 and Interstate 95 for $2.2 million. Construction expected to begin by the end of this year.
- Upgrade traffic signal systems on County Road 210 and Race Track Road for $1.3 million. Construction is imminent.
- Sidewalks will be constructed on multiple St. Johns County streets for $875,000. Construction is imminent.
- Resurface West King Street/ County Road 214 from County Road 13 to Palmer Street for $2.2 million. Bids being opened this month.
- Resurface and add paved shoulders on County Road 214 from County Road 13 to Country Road 13A for $766,000. Bids are being opened this month.
- Install pipe and culvert extensions at various locations between County Road 13 and County Road 13A for $198,000. Bids are being opened this month.
CLAY COUNTY
- Build a new overpass on Branan Field Road at Plantation Oaks Boulevard for $8.2 million. Construction expected to begin in October or November.
- Resurface and widen Peoria Road, also known as County Road 224A, to provide a center turn lane from College Drive to just past Moody Road. This $1.6 million project will also improve the driveway at the College Place Shopping Center. Construction will begin in the fall.
- Resurface and add paved shoulders on County Road 214 East from Florida 100 to County Road 315C for $1.3 million. Bids are being opened this month.
- Construct an eastbound right-hand turn lane on Kingsley Avenue at U.S. 17 for $420,000. Construction will begin in the fall.
- Resurface Knight Boxx Road, also known as County Road 220B, from Blanding Boulevard to County Road 220 for $480,000. Bids are being opened this month.
NASSAU COUNTY
- Widen Florida A1A from two to four lanes from Stratton Road to Griffin Road for $30 million. Construction began in August.
- Resurface County Road 2 from the Georgia state line to County Road 121 for $352,000. Construction is imminent.
- Resurface North Eighth Street in Fernandina Beach from Dade Street to Franklin Street for $115,000. Construction is imminent.
- Resurface North 14th Street and Pogy Place in Fernandina Beach from Brome Street to the end of Pogy Place for $660,000. Also includes an upgrade to the railing and guardrail at the Egan's Creek Bridge. Construction is imminent.
