Any of you ever eat at Clark's fish camp? The one in south mandrin on the river with all the mounted animals?
^_^ I love it, has awsome seafood and great ribs as well.

Their prime rib is awesome as well sport motor!
As far as their catfish? let's just say I grew up where catfish houses are easy to come by, where they serve all you can eat filets and all the fixins.
When I moved here I was disappointed with the size, quantity, and cost of the catfish at Clark's. Overall though they are pretty good.
Try there salmon? Was pretty good
My favorite. I love a cold beer with the Jalapeno Poppers then a Scarab Salad out on the deck over looking the river. Nice Sunday afternoon outing and also clears you sinus.
It is actually on Julington Creek way back from the river. It is certainly unique. Visitors like going there and eating unter the lights and the dead animals on the wall.
I've actually stopped going there so much. I'd rather take the boat and run over to Doctors Lake and go to Whiteys Fishcamp.
We love Clark's...I recommended the place to a buddy at work whose family was visiting from PA. They enjoyed it so much they went 2 times during their visit!
I actually tried the Antelope there and it wasn’t bad. They have a pretty diverse exotic menu.
Either Clark's and Whitey's are a must for visitors. Both have their quirks.
Outback Crab Shack is fun as well.
QuoteOutback Crab Shack is fun as well.
I like this place too... You can still sometimes see gators cruising about around the docks...
Haven't been to the Out Back Crab Shack yet... I should go to judge them against what my family in MD does for a real crab feast.
Clark's is AWESOME!! The only bad thing about it is parking. But you have to go at least once, and take a picture standing by the Sponge Monster!
I like Clark's and Whitey's. I'd probably say I prefer Clark's. Never been to Outback Crab Shack but have not heard any negative things about it.

For sure on that one.

If you were here long enough you would remember the rustic nature of the place. It's gone. They added a lot of covers on the deck. They added 1400 lf of floating dock. The prices went up. .......... and up again. It is not the same place it was.
The last two times we were there the wife's fish was under cooked.
Parking is a problem there too. If you ride the motorcycle getting out from gravel, to the road (SR 13) can be a problem. In the old days when the crowds were bigger on the weekend they'd park cars down the road at Buddy Boys country store and shuttle people back to the OBCS.
Wonder if they serve fresh RED SNAPPER? Favorite dish of Republicans everywhere!
Out Back Crab Shack is in my backyard... well almost... Been warned by all of the locals that it IS NOT anything like it was. Expensive to a fault, and food quality that is ho-hum. Don't know how true it is, but the "tourist trap" label is tossed out over and over again.
OCKLAWAHA
Foods not bad at all, but it's the experience that really makes this place fun, unless you're a vegetarian or Hindu and then you might cringe in horror. Since I'm neither, I've enjoyed my trips there. I obviously don't get there too often as it's so far from downtown.
Not a fishcamp, but JL Trents in Yukon is quite good.
Welcome David! I love the Yukon Trents also!
Thanks for the welcome BT. I think Trents has two other locations which I haven't visited.
They had one on 103rd... it closed. The other is on Beaver I think in Marrietta.

You know, they're in my neighborhood and yet I've never been there! What am I missing out on?
My personal favorites are their fried shrimp and grouper fingers. Also, really good sides (mostly southern style...collard greens, green beans cooked in fat back, black-eyed peas, great hushpuppies etc). Not the healthiest of meals, but I try to get in about once a month. :)
Whoa, what happened to their menu?
Where’s the venison, duck, buffalo, rattlesnake, and ostrich?

All that stuff is still on the menu.
Oh, whoops. Found it now.
Fried Kangaroo!
