A portion of the video for "over it" by Dinosaur Jr showcases downtown Jacksonville from the vantage point of Friendship Fountain and underneath the Main Street Bridge where the skater kids are always hanging. I believe the other scenes were filmed in Gainesville, Tallahassee and Jacksonville Beach. It's been out for awhile, but I just now came across it.
I’d like to go as far as saying I could even see my beat up VW GTI in the background of one of the scenes for a quick second, as I frequently parked behind the MOSH when I was working on the Southbank, but it could easily be someone elses. Either way, it’s pretty sweet seeing Jacksonville in this light:

Doh, I replayed it in HD and saw the VW parked at the mosh had 4 doors and a bike rack. Not mine.

I can't place it. It doesn't look like Tallahassee or JSO. They pretty much shot the video while on tour in mid April so it could be any of the other cities along their tour.
Imagine if the fountains at friendship park were at full capacity, it would've looked really impressive in this video. I miss the days when they'd shoot up 50+ feet in the air.
Cool video, great band. They ripped at Freebirds earlier this year.
There was even a shot of Freebird too I think.
Yep there's a quick shot of Freebirds and the Jax Beach boardwalk in there. I wish the Modis building's signage wasn't so obnoxious though. They got free advertisement in a music video!
And no, nothing's wrong with that, I just thought it took away from the video a little bit. When you see it daily around town it's not so noticeable, but in a music video it stands out a lot.
