Title: So what are Jax's current plans and status?
Post by: untarded on May 07, 2009, 02:32:39 PM
I'm a new resident in the urban core and have found this forum to be extremely informative but also a bit confusing.  It appears their are some very knowledgeable subject matter experts here and many others with passionate opinions.

I've spent quite a bit of time reading this forum and while I have a much better understanding of some of our transit challenges and possible solutions I'm curious about what are city officials are currently studying/proposing/planning.

JTA is currently looking at an integrated mass transit network that could include BRT, Commuter Rail, Streetcars, the Skyway and Waterborne Transit.  Unfortunately the only things close to construction at this point are the BRT Downtown and North Corridor plans.
