Title: Is RAIL more like a BUS? a PLANE? or CRUISE SHIP? You decide...

Thought it might be fun since a good many modern folks have never been on a train, to toss some possible passenger car configurations at you. Some of these are in service today, some in private hands, some with Amtrak or Commuter Agencys and others long gone. But that's not my point, I want you to look into the world of rail cars and selection and start thinking JACKSONVILLE TERMINAL. Now beyond that you need to think about what that train would pass through between here and New York? Miami? Tampa? Naples? New Orleans? LA? Memphis? St. Louis? Chicago? Cincinnati? Charlotte? Norfolk? Some would cross mountains, others would race along the Piedmont, and still others along the Tidewater. So put on your marketing thinking cap, if Florida, with Jacksonville leading, really invested in rail what would YOU put on our flagship trains?

You must understand that a Flagship train, known as a "NAME-TRAIN" is head and shoulders above the typical drivvel that we see on some standardized routes today. Not unlike cruise ships, there is a difference between the Carnival XXX and the Royal Caribean XXX. So if you choose a train over the >>> route, what is the decor? What do we serve in the bar? What is the menu? (Restaurant lovers jump in here if you dare) How would you lay it out? Shouldn't a Florida train be a branded specialty not unlike California's "Coasters", or the "Cascades" of the Pacific Northwest? The Cascades and Coasters are certainly NAME TRAINS.

There are over 200+ types of EACH of these cars, different layouts, decor and design... IMAGINE JACKSONVILLE...
