Just dropped into three layers this morning, the quintessential Springfield coffeehouse.
The new morning girl, Jenna, is absolutely wonderful. Great service and cute as a button.
Anyways, the space is moving headlong towards its conversion into a wine bar/coffeehouse.
Its pretty exciting.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Love that this place is doing so well even through tough times.
fANTASTIC nEWS!!!
YAY!
I'm looking forward to becoming a 'regular'!
i took a peek the other day. small but very nice, with outdoor area too.
It is getting closer. They are selecting their wine distributor now and hope to be open very, very soon. Think weeks, not months. The Zen garden is going to be wonderful. I want one!
Where is it located stephendare?
i'm not stephen, but it's attached to the Three Layers Coffee House, at 6th & Walnut. There will be a seperate entrance. i think it'll be called "The Cellar".
cool, thanks

Three Layers is a gem!
I am in NC right now and there are lots of cool coffee houses and coffee house/wine bar combos up here. In Jax, we have 1: Three Layers (unless I am missing something).
By the way...I need cake...it has been too long.

So where the cadre of judgmental weirdos on MJ who always rally to b!tch and moan whenever an establishment decides to start serving alcoholic beverages? Come on, the thread is just no fun without them...
^^^ It's really sad you need alcohol to have fun. Might as well offer hookers and crack there as well.
;D
How's that Chris?
