A friend of mine who works at The Ivy just told me that they are the offical sponsor and after party of Thirsty Thursdays. He said that they are planning great specials both before the games and after.
That makes me happy because it combines my three favorite things, Summer, Thirsty Thursdays, and The Ivy!
I'll ask them to post the specials on here!

Hello members of Metro Jacksonville's discussion board. This is our first post on this forum but we have been reading it for about a year now. Thank you for all of the good and bad posts on this website as it helps us to address the issues that our potential guests may have with out bar and know what practices you all approve of as well.
We did receive the request from a friend of ours who posted on this board to post our new Thursday Night Throwdown promotion (formerly known as "Thirsty Thursdays") The Ivy is the official sponsor of the 2009 Jacksonville Sun's Thursday Night Throwdown promotions. We will be at all of the home Thursday games to help promote the night. So what does this mean for you all?
The Ivy will offer $1 Bud Light Drafts and $2 Shock Top Drafts every Thursday (even non-home games). All you have to do is pick up an official Ivy Throwdown Thursday T-shirt and wear it on Thursdays. That's it. It is simple and you get an awesome special all summer long. We will offer this special starting on 4/2 which is an exhibition game at the stadium but not a Sun's game. We will open at 4pm as usual for those wanting to start early and stay open until 2am for those who like to start the weekend off early. DJ E.L. will be in house spinning feel good music and officially kicking off every weekend at The Ivy.
There will be a cover after 10pm or when the game ends but those in an Ivy T-shirt or with a ticket stub will get in for free. We will also relax our dress code to a fashionable summer resort casual attire. We hope that this promotion starts off with a bang and everyone enjoys plenty of $1 beers. Go Suns and thank goodness summer is finally here!
Also, we have the first pitch rights for each Thursday home game and are developing a system for guests to register to win this first pitch. Any suggestions on how to handle this?
