Title: 12 "Dead Technology" Advertisements
Post by: Jason on March 12, 2009, 12:54:53 PM
Its interesting how fast technologies rise to the top only to be squashed by the next best thing.  Here are twelve examples...

Ah, the days of pager-code-texting and the Walkman.

Good find Jason.  And the Sony Minidisc ad as an uber-90s-hot girl.  :D

Kinda funny that the beeper talk has morphed into texting.  I consider myself as being pretty hip to the current lingo but this texting stuff is insane!

How about the car phone? Or any console sport games that are more than 2 - 3 years old?

The phrase "information superhighway" is pretty dead.

The Wii rocks!

And Jason - agree!  Texting is the worst abomination and abortion of the English language *ever*.  Drives me nuts to see it, and I refuse to 'txt-spk' when I text.

I'm still in the dark ages with a cell phone that doesn't have surround sound ring tones, mp3 player, 10MP camera, full qwerty keyboard, GPS turn by turn navigation, etc.  Hell I can't even send a text!

Heh, so I guess the next "dead" technology is the cell phone!  They've been replaced with smart phones!

Oh and ditto the Wii.  I absolutely love it!  There is nothing better than getting some game time and some exercize in at the same time.
