Any one noticed we've lost two radio stations lately? Movin' 100.7 was a great station to listen to if you were tired of hearing 95.1 and 97.9 play the same songs over and over. i think their slogan was something cheesey like "great music from today and back in your school days". NOW the radio station is COUNTRY LEGENDS... such a bummer... puts me to sleep... I hate it lol.
Just recently 102.9 The Point dropped off. it was your typical "80's music, with some late 70's and early 90's" staple. now it's X102-9, a competitor with Planet Radio 107.3, and it's not half bad lol. hardly any commercials and songs that are a lil more alternative rock than mainstream rock like planet. but i am not naive... once they start needing some sponsors, they'll get a morning show and pack in the commercials.
alas, i guess we'll still have to hope for variety on the radio dial in sleepyvil... er, jacksonville. or just splurge on XM.
Oh I love XM and for the 20 or so each month, it's so worth no commercials.
Radio is a thing of the past.....with AACs and MP3s you can basically create your own radio station with no commercials....Its not the economy. People just have other options. Why wait/hope for the radio to play something you may like when you just hook up your Ipod/Zune to the radio and go?
100.7 COUNTRY LEGENDS....WOO HOO! I love it.
Are you seriously saying rednecks don't have XM? LOL
