Title: Trail of Tails Pet Walk & Festival
Post by: aj_fresh on January 30, 2009, 01:41:31 PM
QuoteGrab your dog’s leash and lace up your walking shoes, the inaugural Trail of Tails Pet Walk & Festival is Saturday, February 28, 2009. Trail of Tails is a fundraising event for people and their pets, with a 1.5 mile walk route that will showcase Jacksonville landmarks and natural treasures, including Friendship Fountain Park, the Riverwalk, the St. Johns River and Treaty Oak Park.

Jaxson de Ville and South Paw will kick off the event with a ribbon cutting ceremony, and they will cheer on all of the walkers and furry participants. The walk will begin at 10 a.m. at Friendship Fountain Park, which is also the spot of the finish line. Immediately following the walk there will be a festival in the park with food, drinks and fun for the entire family, four-legged members included.

Unfortunately, this is the same morning as the Ortega River Run (which I am running for the first time). I would of liked to participate. I am sure my dog would of as well.
