Title: The Old Voodoo Lounge
Post by: comncense on January 23, 2009, 01:12:50 PM
Ok, I know you guys remember the old Voodoo Lounge that's on Forsyth, a little past 618 (or whatever it was called). Well driving thru downtown last night, I noticed that lights were on in there. I think I saw seating and tables lining the wall on the left. Anyone heard about anything going on there?

I don't know the name, but there is a group that has plans to open a bar in that space.

The name of the bar is going to be the Sinclair, named after Upton Sinclair because the space was once used by a company in the meat packing biz.  Is it open yet?

Not sure if it's open. But the lights were on around 9pm last night and it looked nice inside. Well as far as I could tell while driving by at 40mph. I'd check it out though. I think it has the potential to be a nice place.

Any names, I went to DASOTA. Be curious to know if it was an old classmate.
