I know Citibank has laid off quite a few people in Jacksonville. Most of those jobs are going to India.

We have Mayor Peyton with a BS in City management from the George Bush Institute of Political Excellence. He's also said to have an MA, BA, THD and is a BMF besides! Witness Mayor Peyton's economic recovery plan. Take all the millions in the mass transit fund, plus all the millions promised to mass transit for the future and build highways. This is good old Americanism -vs- Socialism at it's best. Rather then a sleek fleet of Buses, Streetcars and RDC commuter trains racing in and out of the city, we'll put a shovel in every citizens hand. This is a throwback concept right out of Florida history - brilliant! In the early years of the 1900's every able bodied male in the State of Florida was REQUIRED to join a highway work camp for so many days each year. Cheaters or lazy men were flogged in the public squares, or locked up for the crime of "highway denial". With Peytons windfall from the Great Train Robbery of 2009, we'll be able to revive the highway work camp program and asure that every able bodied citizen gets their time at the end of a shovel.
