Here are a couple of my thoughts in photos:

The Seattle SLUT with the older style Monorail in the background. How much different would this look from Jefferson Street Skyway Station if we hadn't tore LaVilla down? What if we build it back? Is this our future?

Yes it IS a Monorail-Skyway-Commuter Rail station in another country. Note how simple the construction is. Also note how light the "Skyway" tracks are in this photo. "S" line? Shands Station anyone?

Kings Avenue Skyway Station, now of course the Skyway should run south to Atlantic from here, and in this scene the Streetcar is headed toward Baptist Hospital.

OCKLAWAHA
Really wish I could see the pictures to be on the same page! :'(
DoctorK, is it photo size? Screen size? both? or did I screw something else up? I'll try and give it a fix if you let me know.
OCKLAWAHA
pics are fine
Ock, I like the Seattle photo. It drives a home a great point. Jacksonville Streetcar and Skyway can coexsit.
Doctor_K, it must be something with your browser settings. I am having the same problem. When I am viewing these pages at work, some people's pictures do not come through, but I can view them when I am at home on my computer for everyone.
Thanks, Lucas. I think that's the problem. I seem to always have an issue with pics whilst at the office. Appreciate the insight. Ock - forgive my desktop for being image-handicapped. :)
Ock used photobucket - some people block this.
You save it by getting it to San Marco Square. You take advantage of it by getting it to Fidelity, Everbank, Blue Cross Blue Sheild and the express bus at FCCJ station. You make everyone love it by getting it to the Stadium. You make it part of a Mass transit system with a starter commuter rail line
The transit-common sense displayed by so many on this website makes it all the more astounding that nothing yet has come to fruition.
JeffreyS - way to sum up just about everything ever said about the Skyway, ever, in four sentences. Maybe brevity is bliss for the powers-that-be at City Hall & JTA? :D
All of those pics are great, Ock. Especially love your twist on Tennessee Williams.
You don't save it, kill it and stop the bleeding. It kills ground level retail. Use the space left over for a dedicated street trolley lane.
