Title: old time radio
Post by: civil42806 on January 05, 2009, 10:31:03 PM
Thought I would  open  a topic on old time radio.  One of my passions, ever since my time in Gainesville.  Love listening to to it and have found a streaming  online station.

Which I listen to religously and a very interesting web site of archived movies

Gainesville PBS Radio has an HD channel that is old time based. I can usually pick it up at my house.

Nothing like listening to the old serials and such.

Sirius sat radio has a channel that plays the old dramas and comedy shows.  Dragnet is my personal favorite.

Great find Civil. Is Red Skelton? Groucho? Fibber McGee and Molly? The Shadow? or Amos and Andy on there?

If you want to hear some much newer stuff along the same lines check out the streams for THE FIRESIGN THEATER from the 1960's... Funny S**T. I tune them in online at LASTFM RADIO.

Most of those are on there from time to time.  Never cared for Red skeltons radio show, loved his TV show many years ago.  Very rarely have I heard Amos and Andy on, definitly not politically correct.  But Fibber and the shadow are on all the time, love them both.  One thats not on often that i love is "bob and ray".
