It should be a pretty nice starter line, considering they paid $1.4 billion for 20 miles ($70 million/mile).  They are also spending another billion for a 4.8 mile peoplemover system that will connect the airport to the light rail line.  30 more miles of track are planned to be online by 2025, depending on the success of the starter.  We plan to run a feature story on the Phoenix system next week.

As I read and watched the reports I was trying to imagine 150,000 people showing up to see the JTA BRT system... They'll be lucky if 300 are invited and 30 show up!

It's been made perfectly clear all over the world, rail CAN be built cheaper - and people prefer rail.

Lol... At least you can try to image 150,000.  I can't even justify 50 coming out on their own will.

To be fair, I also can't imagine 150,000 coming out for rail in Jax. But nevertheless, your point is valid. Rail > BRT in razzle dazzle.
