JACKSONVILLE, FL -- While ducking trees, Santa hopes the fires steer clear of Springfield.

Santa took a ride atop a fire truck, bringing Santa to kids who can't make it to the mall. He delivered candy and holiday cheer.

"It's something that stuck with me since I was a little kid. It's something we'd all look forward to and the next Monday at school we'd all be talking about it," Santa says.

The trip was organized by the Springfield neighborhood. They also have a photo session planned for Saturday, from noon to 4 p.m. at Three Layers Coffee House.

It was great to see and it was fun to watch the fire engine ride up and down the streets with Santa on top and the spot light on him.
