Title: Jags / Packers
Post by: Jason on December 15, 2008, 09:41:32 AM
I enjoyed this game.  Looked to be pretty hard fought by the Jags.

Thursday night should be pretty interesting.

From another perspective... :)

http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/36129899.html

QuoteJacksonville, Fla. - The jig's up, the season's effectively over and the Green Bay Packers have been dismissed from relevancy for 2008.

They can't beat anyone, not even the Jacksonville Jaguars with maybe 45,000 semi-interested souls watching at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.

So what if the Jaguars can't stand their imperious coach, Jack Del Rio? So what if the Jaguars were without seven injured starters, including six on offense? So what if the Jaguars had lost six of their last seven games?

45K? Believe me, I have been there when there was only 45K , there was way more than that, I was actually very suprised at turnout for jags fans

No way there was only 45k there. It was at least 60k. I was pretty impressed that many people showed up.

Great game on a another beautiful Sunday.

Northcutt had a monster day! MJD & Garrard got it done on pass & runs at crunch time.

I heard the the Jags may have found a sponsor for stadium naming rights.... Melting Pot Stadium

Cheese that was a close game  :P

The Packers are definitely in a downward spiral.  Hopefully the Jags are starting to get more real production out of their depth.  The game was a dificult one to guage.  Did the packers play like crap or did the Jags just play better?

I was at the game. There were more than 45k fans there. I was actually surprised to see it as full as it was. The Jags won the game. They scratched and clawed in the 4th to win.

After Garrard fumbled, I think my heart stopped. Thank god he recovered it.

Yeah way more than 45k. And I don't know why the Viking's kickers said the field was bad because yesterday it looked fantastic.

First game I've missed all season and the only one where the Jag's showed up? Oh Hell!

I worked Sat night til Sun morning, but recorded the game. It was certainly more than 45k there from what I saw. Good to see the Jags tough it out despite some mistakes in the middle of the game.

Same here Ock,

Although I did get the pleasure of watching the Jags win from a Tennesee sportsbar while also watching the Titan's lose, it was a two for one kinda deal.

Did anyone else see how much energy was on the side line of the Jags especially when Northcutt caught DG first long ball. It was good to see the team fired up. Havent seen much of that, even during the games they have won.

Great point.  I did notice that as well.  The few games before that, Jack almost had no emotion at all.

Can't wait for Thursday night!

Anyone going to the game?
