Just got back from seeing the film.

Its very beautiful and what an adventure.

If you have ever been to the Pacific Northwest, the cinemetography alone will make you nostalgic.  Its absolutely beautiful.

Christy, one of the managers of the 11 east Starbucks (and a fellow Libra), described the movie as 'achingly romantic', which is about as apt a description as I can think of myself.

You won't go wrong with this film.

And Vampire Baseball is simply amazing.

My friend told me they mention Jax in the film. Is this correct?

Something like (paraphrasing)..."we should go to Jacksonville, Florida. The sun is always shining there."

lol.

just bumping this old thread. I am still curious about whether they indeed did mention Jacksonville...don't really have any interest in seeing the film myself.

They did. The step father is a minor league baseball player, and he goes to Jacksonville to play for the Suns. It is the same way as in the book.

"The Happening" also has a quick scene of Jacksonville.  Well, actually it' a shot of a family glued to their TV wondering what is going on... er... "Happening".  :)  Cool movie, BTW.

I'll be checking out Twilight too.
