Good morning Jaxson's, the city is celebrating our I Dig Jax campaign and the launch of a new merch store by holding a scavenger hunt. We're hiding five 3D printed statues of Sexy Rexy, the dinosaur king of Beach Boulevard, all over the city, with cryptic clues as to how to find them. Dropped the first one today myself. Here's the first clue:

Where's the merch?
Is the hunt sequential? In other words, Clue #1 leads you to Clue #2, which leads you to Clue #3, and so on?

Each clue leads to one Rex, but we'll hide them one at a time. The next one will be next week.

Cool. The link was in a COJ or Mayor's Office post. Cute merch.
Having spent my HS and college years working in various libraries - some with Library of Congress and some with Dewey Decimal - I knew instantly that Rex was in a certain section of A library that uses Dewey - but which one? How many branches are in the Jax system? :) I don't think I missed a clue to the correct library?

There are 21 branch libraries! That Dewey Decimal code refers to a book — T. Rex by Vivian French that's only held in one of them. You'd have to look it up at a library or on the JPL website to know it was only at the Southeast Regional Library in Baymeadows. The clue was intended to be tough, but still someone found it in just 3 hours. In fact, at least two different people found this one. Never doubt the ingenuity of Jaxsons when Sexy Rexy is involved!
Ah ... never occurred to this antique-card-catalog-mind to search online for the specific book. *sigh*
