One might describe Downtown Jacksonville as a construction zone these days. The projects receiving the most attention include riverfront parks, Sports & Entertainment District developments and the plight of the Laura Street Trio. However, there are several restaurant and bar establishments in the works. Here are ten food and beverage concepts headed to downtown soon.

These are much farther along, but I'm always reminded of the article that came out years ago about The Bull Briar, Kenny Gilbert's concept on Forsyth street, and a couple others that didn't come to fruition. Of that list, I think Cowford is the only one that opened and remains open. Hopefully 10 new venues can help create a sustainable level of activity so we can get through the 1 in 1 out for downtown dining that has persisted since 2019.
