Good article! Honestly, the most innovative work in Jacksonville has been going on in the historic Urban Core neighborhoods, and it is these neighborhoods I typically take out-of-town family and friends to experience Jacksonville. The folks I talk to in Springfield said they've been waiting on downtown to get it's act together for 15 years, and that they've pretty much moved on making their place better in spite of whatever was going on downtown.
