^ I believe 2 of these were concept #1's in your original post and those were my choices if my vote counts for anything 8).
The concept #2 for the markers looks better in your pictures here than in the concept in your original post so I think that is good too. Having a seat in front of the marker would likely have people seated blocking access to the marker - not a good idea. Is there any concern about a tripping hazard for the silver squares under the markers? Not sure why those are there.
There are some additional changes coming. The concept with the bench will be modified so that someone sitting will not block the exhibit. Also the markers will not have the tripping issue.
