Proposed by Gateway Jax, LLC, the Pearl Street District will include a mix of buildings with retail-activated, vibrant streetscapes as well as thoughtfully planned public areas and walkable streets, all within an 18-hour a day environment. Publicly announced with great fanfare a few weeks ago, the first three blocks of the Pearl Street District are up for conceptual approval by the Downtown Development Review Board (DDRB) on Thursday, October 12, 2023. I'm sure it will sail through DDRB. The city needs to do whatever it can to get dirt turning on this thing.
