Any information, or thoughts, on the effect of moving the I-10 "Marietta" interchange from its original location to Hammond Boulevard?

Definitely a good move, I don't think anyone would argue that.  Except maybe the owners of the janky gas stations that were on the each side lol

The main impact appears to be the closure of all commercial properties that were at that interchange. Here are images from that closed interchange that did not make the article:

As someone who lives off of Bulls Bay, on Old Plank Road, the move of the interchange has been good for traffic patterns coming off/on 295. All in all, it has been a positive.

In sad news, the longtime Ace Hardware, owned by the Bennett's at the intersection of Beaver/Cahoon was damaged in an automobile accident a year or so ago. It doesn't look like it is going to reopen from what I hear. It was a nice neighborhood Ace. I would love to see someone be able to purchase the old gas station at the intersection of Beaver/Cahoon and try to do something with it.
