Can we get rid of animated avatars? They are highly annoying when trying to read a thread. I would guess they eat some bandwidth, too. A couple of other message boards I frequent have banned them.
My apologies if this is always the subject of a thread here, but I'm not scrolling through 7 pages of titles ...
Lol, there is only one person I know who has an animated avatar on here that I can recall. Have you tried telling them directly?
I see 2 regularly - simms3 and snaketoz
And, no, I have not confronted them directly.
<---- This guy has an animated avatar... :-)
Charles, are you viewing the site on your phone/tablet or on a PC?
OK, 3 :)
Tabletish - specifically Microsoft Surface Pro 6 with the add-on keyboard
Yeah, on the smaller screens I can see where the avatars might be a bit distracting.
I removed mine for ya
Wow, I wish everything I didn't like would disappear.
My first wish for our Jaxson team leaders would be a search function for all the blog posts ;D. Trying to find old threads so as not to recreate/repeat the same back and forth or to add updates would be nice.
Thanks for all you do to host this site. We appreciate the effort!

Yes! Given a choice, I would continue to manually hide the animated avatars if this site had a functioning search function.
And a better way to provide links - the vBulletin-based boards I'm on allow you to make any word in a post a hot link, instead of having the full URL as visible text.

Here is how you do that:

Just found a couple of more items to look into:
(A) Posted in the "Break Room" but that wouldn't post to the bulletin board. So, (B) I went to "remove" the post from "Break Room" and reposted under "News." Received an error message saying I can't remove my own topic.
