Overall, from what I gather these are good changes. It's a floor smaller, but it replaces a lot of the ground floor parking with ground floor retail, and the new structure is now a full "L" instead of a straight line with a "jut out".
They also mention they, "Relocated on-site parking to activate parking garage 460' away on the corner of Hogan Street and West Beaver Street". I'm assuming this is the old FBC Garage that JWB (Alex Sifakas) owns, which makes some sense - it's one block away. they do show on-site parking, so perhaps that will be "extra" - parking included in the garage with rent, on site is $X.00 extra or something.
The design from concept to where it is at now is better and I love the LED uplighting of the Jones Brothers Furniture Building. This should be a huge boost along this stretch of the Emerald Trail. As it is, this may be the largest mixed-use project involving new construction to take place in the heart of the Northbank in decades.
Godspeed!
Looks amazing!
Is the First Baptist building that's not in scope owned by Corner Lot or is it still trying to be sold by First Baptist?
Interested to see what can be done with that building to activate and renew that entire city block.
They already own the FBC building.
Awesome. Much better than the initial. Super. Let's get going.
