Preaching to the choir here, but it is a real shame that basically no big transit projects are being proposed on the First Coast when there's so much federal money in the pipeline for it. Just in the last few weeks, Miami-Dade has announced hundreds of millions of dollars toward their proposed people mover, metro, and commuter rail expansions. FDOT has responded with over $100 million in funding for commuter rail, and there's likely more coming for the rest. It's not like we've outright rejected transportation funding like Orange and Hillsborough have, we've just... not sought it.

Good place to post this. FDOT has spent the last 6 months upgrading the Dames Point Bridge cable illumination lights to LED. Big difference.

Endless money for the interstates and little for everything else tells you all you need to know.

How many years now has it taken to build a small pedestrian walkway?

Grand opening of the shared use path was briefly thought to be December 17th, but it has been postponed.  We are CLOSE though!
