Located near the Arlington Expressway, Southside Boulevard and Atlantic Boulevard, thousands of drivers pass by the North Florida School of Special Education on a daily basis without recognizing the fascinating space. Established in 1992, the North Florida School of Special Education serves students with intellectual and developmental differences between the ages of 6 and 22. The school also offers a Postgraduate program for young adults between the ages of 22 to 40. Recently we had the opportunity to volunteer at the school's Anderson Smith Campus on Mill Creek Road. Here is a look at an educational facility that local residents should learn more about.
