QuoteKhan jumps higher on list of richest people in America
Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan came in at No. 55 on this year's Forbes 400, an annual list of the richest Americans, jumping up from No. 94 in 2021.
The magazine's calculations, which are based on stock figures as of Sept. 2, estimate that the auto part magnate's net worth grow to $11.2 billion in 2022, up from $8.5 billion last year. For the four proceeding years, Forbes said, his net worth was between $7 billion and $8 billion.
Khan placed No. 313 on the Forbes list of billionaires worldwide, which was released earlier this year....

This is the person that the hardworking taxpayers of Jacksonville need to constantly fork their money over too while we under-fund maintenance on roads, parks, drainage, septic tanks, resiliency, social services, etc. Khan appears to be worth about the same amount as Nextera's high bid for JEA was. At a low ball 2% rate of return, Kahn would be making $220 million a year on this net worth. In the billions he has made since owning the Jaguars, how much has he donated to local charities vs. the Weavers who look like paupers compared to Khan? I see lot's of room for improving his relationship with this City.
