Located just east of Springfield and Downtown, the Historic Eastside neighborhood is one of the most intact nineteenth-century African American neighborhoods in Jacksonville, and it still upholds its history as a Black working-class neighborhood today. In support of the effort to designate the Eastside as a national historic district, here's a look and stories and spaces from the neighborhood that deserve to be better known.

Thanks! It's been a long time coming. Hopefully, the zoning overlay coming behind it will be a success as well.
