This won't get big press but it is pretty cool to me to see an old abandoned industrial complex off Myrtle Avenue coming back to life with a collection of smaller manufacturers paying decent salaries in LaVilla and New Town. The Thybar Corporation opened a roof curb plant in one warehouse last year. Now Ferrosource will possibly lease some space. The complex also has the Emerald Trail being built through the middle of it at the moment.

I just hosted a bike tour that went up Myrtle right by there. There's such a cool mix of stuff going on in that area right now.

This project is in what is also called the Rail Yard District and I hear many more great things in this area are in the pipeline. For now, check out the multiuse Dennis & Ives project at Myrtle and Dennis streets.
The Emerald Trail travels extensively through the Rail Yard District and should bring it further development. It could be the next Brooklyn one day.
