For much of the 19th and 20th century, Fulton Market was Chicago's meatpacking district, mostly made up of smaller, independent meatpackers and wholesalers. Once playing a similar role to the Rail Yard District in Jacksonville, this place where animals were once processed and sold wholesale, has transitioned into a modern mix of offices, apartments, boutique hotels, shops and trendy restaurants. Here is a short September 2021 walk through Chicago's Fulton Market.
