If they're going to survive again, they'll have to be something more than a gay bar. That stuff is mainstream now. No need to go therer to be able to be kissy-kissy with your special same sex someone, you can do that at Applebees these days.

Yes, thanks to the efforts of previous generations, being gay (albeit, still a bit of a struggle) is a lot more easier these days, but I feel it's still important for LGBTQ+ to have a safe place to congregate and be entertained. After all, I've made out with my boyfriend at Applebee's and got some dirty looks.
