More like fancy-ish Southern food.
^That was what I settled on. Great place, great food but I don't think I'd call it a soul food restaurant.
Makes me very hungry reading articles like this. Thanks for highlighting. Great additions to Jax's culinary scene.
The KraVegan soul food truck (usually at RAM on Saturdays, among other locations) deserves a mention. I went there out of curiosity that a vegan restaurant could capture soul food flavors, and it was surprisingly effective.
Of course I think of garlic crab places as a unique feature of Jacksonville's soul food scene as well.
