Is it still active as a Masonic facility?  Are the Masons proposing to lease it as an event space, or some other group?

It's still active as a Masonic facility. However, they only use it a couple of days each month. So they are looking for ways to increase revenue needed to maintain the facility by making it's spaces available for events, weddings, markets, meetings, concerts, etc.

That's even weirder than I imagined it to be.  Was hoping the main room would be more ornate, matching the exterior.  Looks like they really love Egyptian mythology and the Knights Templar...BWAHAHAHA

SPAR featured The Solomon Lodge, a couple blocks away on East 1st Street, on the Tour back in 2015/2016, as well. It's a pretty fantastic property.

I believe a Mason would be a member at the Solomon Lodge first, then have access to the Scottish Rite building once they rised up the ranks, per se.
