Title: An Extremely Detailed Map of the 2020 Election
Post by: Josh on May 10, 2021, 02:08:28 PM
Election results down to the district level, as well as the swing versus 2016. None of the results are too surprising to me. Anything stand out especially to anyone else?

This is neat. What's interesting is that it seems Biden shrunk the Dems margin of loss significantly in Republican won districts when compared to 2016 (even flipping a few to D), but lost ground in Dem strongholds won districts compared to 2016.

Seems to hold with national trends of Biden being a more favorable candidate for the moderates and break-away Rs but not as invigorating to the Dems base.

Also speaks locally to Duval becoming a more urban electorate than a suburban or rural one.

Some might find it surprising that northern San Marco went blue. I've definitely seen that trend play out here over the last 8 years.
