While certainly good they're putting money into the place, it seems like they could be doing more with the ground floor in terms of being more inviting to the outside. Right now the doors lock at 6. How's that going to work for a Gym or Wine Bar?

I suppose those will be amenities for the office workers only, who would already be inside the building by 6:00.

A gym and wine bar that's only open to tenants of the tower is EXTREMELY limiting.
Would be nice if they opened some of those things - like the cafe' - to the outside.

This. I'd love to see the DIA get a bit more involved and persuasive in remodel jobs like this. These represent a pretty easy and quick way to add life downtown. Uptown Charlotte has mastered this.
Will miss the greenery they are removing. The high ceilings lined with glass would appear to have been designed to support those plants and trees.
The renderings look nice but nothing memorable or unique to me. Just modern office typical and lacking "personality" or a distinctive "character" in my opinion. Color scheme in the renderings looks kind of cold and I am not a big fan of the terrazzo floors which I also feel are harsh. I suppose it will appeal to millennials who seem to love white interiors. We shall see if it looks better when they build it out. Wonder if they will have any art that will project with height to take advantage of the atrium feature and break up some of the sight lines.
I remember eating at the Morrison's Cafeteria off the main floor and Tree Top (not sure I recall this correctly) restaurant on the mezzanine in the early days of the building. Office workers from all over Downtown would come there back then. Even suburbanites sometimes.
