HA! I was wondering when someone would post this. "It's nothing now, but it's going to be a brewery"

Based on their review, I guess our Downtown fails to qualify as an "Up and Coming City Near You."  Sigh....

P.S. That looks like Columbia, SC. (which fits the bill of "one hour to the mountains, one hour to the beach").  Backup guess would be Greenville, SC.  Both towns also have old mills.  Any other guesses?

That's absolutely Greenville.

Fun one.   Since it's satire I wouldn't put too much into the precision of their claims, like an hour from the beach or the old mill.  Everyplace has old mills.   And that hour to the beach may really be 3.

That said, good call on Greenville.

The first thing that had me agreeing was seeing that Fidelity building.  Now lot's of downtowns have new buildings like that.  But one of the things about greenville is that they have a bunch of buildings with that curved tower out front thing..... .and they're on smaller long rectangular lots.

A lot of downtowns have grids with new building going up on full or half a block.  You don't see as many _office buildings_ , as far as downtowns go, squeezing into the old 1/6 or 1/8th of a block lot.  So that fidelity building felt familiar.

And once I saw the hampton inn, not only again narrow, ner  and by a small river I figured it'd be easy to confirm, bridge and all.
