Title: Outdoor food hall, beer garden coming to Springfield
Post by: aubureck on November 04, 2020, 06:10:40 AM
This one came as a surprise for me.  Interesting concept.

For a camper you can make a mini septic system with a 55 gallon plastic drum and some drain line.  Could probably be all on for $500 including the rental of a mini excavator so make digging easy.

If done well, should be a great addition. This project is still in the very early stages.

Looks pretty cool. Would definitely be nice for Main Street.

Love it. Hope they can get the financing and pull it off.

What's up with the lack of new multi-family on Main Street? Developers are dying to build multi-family all over Florida, and with the new breweries and restaurants, Springfield seems primed for a few buildings. What is the max density and height?

I wish them luck.  It's a tough business no matter how good the decor + execution.  And the ideo of a bunch of junk as "decor" doesn't strike me as a wise move in the food biz.  But eh, maybe it'll still work out.

I haven't looked into the details but would not be surprised if land acquisition costs are higher than other properties where these projects are going. Couple that with being limited with height and parking, and you probably get more bang for your buck in Downtown, Brooklyn, edges of San Marco, Riverside or in the burbs (Town Center, Gate Parkway, Flagler Commerce Center, Nocatee, Oakleaf, etc.)
