In 1953, Afro-Puerto Rican infielder and future major leaguer Felix Mantilla made Southern baseball history as part of the Jacksonville Braves' first racially integrated team, playing alongside Hank Aaron. For National Hispanic Heritage Month, The Jaxson looks back on Mantilla's historic role in smashing Jacksonville's baseball color line.
