Your favorite local celebrity chef is opening a restaurant in Springfield, at the former Bleu Chocolat/Three Layers space (1602 Walnut Ave). He's been selling delicious family meals out of his home and temporary commercial kitchen spots in Springfield since COVID, so good to see he's opening a brick & mortar.
Name/menu TBA. Check out his IG account.
Nice! Looking forward to something going in that space.
Great news. Now folks gotta go support him.

Seems like this guy has had a lot of restaurants with his name on them over the last few years... Emphasis on had ???
I am surprised he is still trying his luck in Jacksonville. As several recent articles have pointed out, there is no need to overpay for southern cooking in this city and he doesn't seem to understand this point.
I love all his food, but I agree that his persistence on Jacksonville is a little puzzling.

This...
He planned to move to move to Raleigh and open a restaurant there but I think he changed his mind when Covid hit.

I always enjoyed eating at his Southside location, and never thought it was over priced.
Silkies Chicken & Champagne Bar. Nice!
