Jacksonville's next craft brewery is planned for a historic former service station on the border of Riverside and Murray Hill.

Great use of that building. Have always liked how it looks.

Heck yeah! This is right around the corner from my apartment. This building looks so ominous but cool.

The dark paintjob makes it look like a drive-thru blood donation clinic...run by vampires. Having beer there is gonna be nice

This is great.  Love these old Pure stations and it's always awesome to see one being repurposed.

I'm excited to see the renovation and try this place out when it opens.

Does it seem like a small space for a brewery?

I think its small, but that's not the worst idea if your plan is on-site only at first and then you can see where the business takes you. Reve opened in a tiny storefront in Mayport.  Now that they have gained steam, they are expanding next door and taking over the Dominoes.

I think its smart to make a conservative step forward.  Hopefully it works out.

This is about the size of Engine 15, Green Room, Reve, Pinglehead, Bottlenose Brewing, & Zeta, when they opened.  The pioneers of Jax craft brewing seemed to have started with larger facilities and larger production capacity, but I'm fine with people starting small and expanding. The Bold City downtown location has a set up this size or smaller.  Even with a much larger capacity, they still saw value in adding a smaller brew facility to focus on one offs and collaborations.
