HEY Their ancestors might have whipped my ancestors, but they ain't whooped me yet! By Job, I think I've finally found something that myself, Stephendare and Riverside Gator can all agree on!
Besides, aren't we the big dog telling Chechnya that "They deserve self rule!" We'd really draw some international fire if we suddenly told our own Georgia that THEY DON'T! OCKLAWAHA

lol.
As far as I can see, the only thing the North gained from winning the war was Industrial Pollution, Acid Rain and Ted Kennedy.
Agree!

(http://www.v6performance.net/forums/images/smilies/and1.gif) I, too, thought it was going to be a landslide. I'm pleasantly surprised.
Hear, hear Stephen!
I think this proves we're a site that has fair representation from both sides. Regardless of how we feel about national politics, we all have something in common to rally behind. That's to see our community strive to be the best it can be.

You know what they say: If at first you dont secede, try try again. ;D
Better watch it, Florida's population is dominated by non native Floridians. Outside of North Florida, the State would probably flip sides.

The closer we get to the election the more time I spend here. I need some common ground I guess ;)

SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS, (Thus Always to Tyrants ...) I always say...
DEO VINDICE RIVER!
The results don't really surprise me. I think this race is tighter than many of the polls would have us believe.

Exactly. The fact that it's so close and even leaning democrat in a typical republican stronghold does say a lot:
Previous duval county election results:
Year R D 3rd party
2004 57.8% 41.6% 0.6%
2000 57.5% 40.7% 1.8%
1996 50.0% 44.2% 5.8%
1992 49.5% 36.9% 13.9%
1988 62.8% 36.7% 0.5%
